Slowing Down to Speed Up
Happy New Year, All!!
2012 was one unforgettable year for the world. We've experienced a plethora of personal, historical, social and natural disasters that would make pigs fly...but we survived. By God's grace, we survived. And now we're here in 2013 and the month of January went by in a stupid blink! With the raise in our taxes, many of us are left to ask, what's going to happen to our future? What should we do now to ensure a better and more secure tomorrow? The answer for myself is to turn inward and look upward.
I have slowed down my over thinking, over analyzing and hyper-ventilating about what I was going to do next because staying stuck on stupid is getting me nowhere fast! Being a follower of Christ Jesus and believing in the word of God, I should know better than to worry about my future when God has it in His hands. So...I slowed down so that my faith can speed up.
The bible tells us that God knew us even before we were formed in our mother's womb. He fashioned us in His likeness and equipped us with gifts, talents, etc. to bless us. So if I believe that's true, then there's something He placed inside of me that I need to see. I've slowed down on my own limited thinking and have sped up my faith on God's good thoughts He has for me...
Slow yourself down and speed up on your faith. There's nothing that you can not achieve if you believe you have been seeded with talents and skills that will not only bless you, but bless others around you. Be encouraged because it's not over yet.
