When Our Mouths Open

We work the mic but don’t say a word!
Our mouths open wide but no one can hear-we go unheard.
Can you please speak up?
Everybody’s got something to say but for real shut up!
Ticky ticky boom boom here we go with the bull shit.
Like the runs it explodes and no one can see through it!
The lies.
The deceptive eyes.
Covered by spectacles glaring back at the spectacle before them.
Hiding the evil enjoyment of the destruction made by them!
We’ve been running in a circle like a hamster wheel.
Although our eyes see the prize, our feet are numb – they can’t feel.
Symbolic, I guess that’s how we were conditioned to be.
Numb. Drunk. Unable to live free.
Trough it all, we still have a hope to spare
But what good is it if we all can’t get there?
