Faces of Equality

What's going on everyone? I just wanted to jump on this right quick and blog about something I've learned over the weekend. Sunday I had the opportunity to sit in on a reading of a new play written by a fellow playwright and was pleasantly surprised. In her play, she's chronicling the NAACP movement and come to find out, it was started by three caucasian citizens who were appalled by the way African Americans and others were being treated. I don't think I've ever knew that. How about that...the National Association  for the Advancement of Colored People was started by a trio of white troopers who had a heart to stop the madness!

So many people bend to the actions of the few who hate but don't consider those who love. It was an amazing revelation that has filled my heart with hope. There are people of all races who DO want to live in harmony. I hope that we can build on that and crush the spirit of hate and destruction in the name of Jesus! Much love to William E. Walling, Mary White Ovington &  Henry Moskowitz along with W. E. B. Du Bois.
